Val Rogalla's Scotties (and more)

Darcie
I wanted to start getting into conformation showing so after much research I acquired
Jabberwok Dancin' In the Dark CGC FD in 1991. She can be quite the fickle thing but I love her dearly
and she always has a way of making me smile. Her motto is "Girls just wanna have fun".
After a long hard struggle, she also learned flyball but not with the same gusto as Stuart.
In 1993, she was bred to Ch Jabberwok Moonlight Bay and produced 8 healthy pups (7 boys, 1 girl).
Here is a picture of early crate training.
I was planning on keeping a pup but ended up with keeping two. Click here to see
the pedigree of the pups.
Pippen
Ch Jabberwok Unbelievable was the eighth puppy born.
Also for all the Chicago Bulls fans, myself included, he was named after no. 33.
His registered name is pronounced Un-bull-leave-a-bull. He's my first champion and
probably the silliest dog I've ever owned. He's a slow learner but once he does learn something,
he never forgets it. That's Pippen's puppy picture at the top of the page.
Gwyn
I found Gwyn at the local humane society. I wasn't looking for another dog but somehow we found each other.
She was turned in because she had puppies even though she was kept tied up to the porch all the time. I saw she had flyball potential and decided to add her to the clan. I call her a
Scottish Brown Dog. Here's a picture of her doing flyball. She earned her fourth flyball
title (FM - Flyball Master) in less than a year of racing. She's very happy to be with the clan instead of
tied to a porch!
Trouble
Trouble's a very active Border Collie.
She came from the Rude Dogs flyball team. They have been of great assistance in helping me train such a high potential,
always ready to do anything type of dog. Things are never slow or dull with her around - as you can tell from
this pic.:)
Mayhem
Mayhem is the ball fiend of the family. She's a Border Collie/Border Terrier cross (Border/Border). She is
a great flyball dog as seen here and here. Border/Border's are not the dog for everyone. They have
personality traits of both the border collie and the border terrier. These are not couch
potatoes! She also came from Rude Dogs.
Madness
Madness has quickly grown to be the largest member of the pack. She's a Dutch Shepherd but she's marked like a Belgian Malinois.
She has energy to burn and loves to taunt everyone else. Her parents are working police dogs. She earned her HCT in May of 2002. She loves to herd. She definitely keeps me on my toes!
Gone but never forgotten...
Stuart 1986-1999
I got my first Scottie in 1986. Chieftain Angus S Podgorny CDX JE CGC CG FDCH.
After growing up with Westies,
I found Scotties to be pleasantly different. Stuart was very unique. He was the first Scottie to compete in
flyball.
Here's a picture of Stu running in a tournament. Scotties may not be fast flyball
dogs, but they sure do enjoy it! Stuart was willing to try anything and everything. We miss him terribly. Here's the earthdog at work.

Russell 1987-1999
It was hard having just one dog, so Chieftain Rough Rider CGC, joined the household in 1987.
Whereas Stuart was very active, Russell was the reverse. Russell was a very
calming presence in the family. He was also the best nanny and nurse.
If anyone was sick or injured, he was right there to try and make things better.
In this photo, Stu is on the left and Russell is sitting on the right.
Cliff1993-2002
Jabberwok River of Dreams CGC was the puppy that picked me.
He made it clear from the start that he was staying. He lived to make me happy.
Family portrait of Darcie in the middle with Pippen lying down on the left
and Cliff sitting on the right.
