Many famous people have owned Scotties. The following is just a sample of people in history who have owned and loved Scotties.

The following had Scotties

The most famous Scottie in history has to be Fala. Fala, the best loved and most famous of all White House pets, belonged to President Franklin Roosevelt. Born on April 7, 1940, Fala was a gift to the President from his cousin, Margaret Stuckley. The President loved Fala so much that he rarely went anywhere without him.
FDR had several Scotties before Fala including one named Duffy and another one named Mr. Duffy.
Amy Alcott, Pro golfer, had a Scottie named Venus
Lionel Barrymore, actor, had a Scottie named Johnny
John Barrymore, actor
Humphrey Bogart had two Scotties.
Charles Boyer, actor
Eva Braun (Hitler's mistress) had 2 Scotties, named Stasi and Negus. (Rumor has it that Hitler had one also.)
Bette Davis, actress, had a Scottie named Tibby
Loraine Day had a Scottie named Butch
President Eisenhower had two Scotties, Telek and Caacie
Sir Edward Elgar, composer
Stu Erwin had a Scottie named Stormy Weather
Zsa Zsa Gabor, actress
George Herriman, the creator of Krazy Kat, had several scotties. George Herriman is said to have kept as many as five scotties at one time.

Eleanor Roosevelt had a Scottie named "Maggie" or "Meggie" after the deaths of FDR and Fala.

Ann Southern, actress, had a Scottie named Doonie that was in the movie-Maisie Goes to Reno
Shirley Temple (posed for childhood snapshots with Scotties, including one given to her as a gift)
James Thurber, writer, had a Scottie named Jeannie
S.S. Van Dines, mystery writer
Queen Victoria, had a Scottie named Laddie
E.B. White, author of Charlotte's Web (along with others), who on his wedding day, could not find anyone to take care of his Scottie, so the dog was taken to the church!
Katherine White had a Scottie named Daisy
Memphis Belle, WW2 flight crew had a Scottie named Stuka as a mascot.

The following have Scotties

President-elect George W. Bush, was given an 11 week old Scottie puppy from Gov. Whitman in December '00. The Scottie was named Barney.

Blake Edwards, producer (married to Julie Andrews) recently acquired another Scottie.
Ali McGraw, actress has a brindle girl named Amtrack.
Liza Minnelli, singer, has a female named Lilly
Bonnie Raitt, singer, has a Scottie
Christine Whitman, Governor of New Jersey has three Scotties - Julie, Brie, and Coors.
