Scottie Sticks
2 boullion cubes (beef or chicken)
1 cup of boiling water
1-2 cups flour
Bring water to boil and add boullion cubes. When they are desolved add flour. Sometimes takes more flour. Shape into sticks and bake 400 for 45 min.
Editor's suggestion - Maybe sprinkle with garlic powder before baking. My Scots love garlic.

Liver Cookies
1 lb of liver - Beef or Chicken.
2 eggs
1c. whole wheat flour
1 c. cornmeal
minced garlic (I usually add several cloves - mine love garlic!)
Whirl liver in blender with 2 eggs. Pour in bowl and mix well with remaining ingredients. Spread on a cookie sheet sprayed with Pam. Bake at 350 for about 20-30 min. Cool and cut into squares. Freezes very well.
Amount of time needed to bake will depend on how thick you spread the glop. My guys congregate around the stove while it is baking, waiting for the finished product!

Homemade Scottie Biscuits
3/4 c. hot chicken or beef broth
1/3 c. margarine
1/2 c. powdered milk
1/2 t. salt (optional)
2 t. sugar
1 egg, beaten
3 c. whole wheat flour
In large bowl, pour hot broth over margarine. Stir in powdered milk, salt, sugar and egg. Add flour, 1/2 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. Knead 3 to 4 minutes, adding more flour if necessary to make a very stiff dough. Pat or roll to 1/2 inch thickness and cut out with a doggie-theme cookie cutter. (I use the bone-shaped one.) Place on parchment paper and bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes. Turn biscuits over for even browning and bake for another 25 minutes. Allow to cool and dry out until hard on a cooling rack.

There are no preservatives in these so I store them in the refrigerator. They, of course, freeze well. Bone Appetit! Kathy, Molly B and Mr. Potter
